ROLE OVERVIEW

As an Integration Engineer, I orchestrate the communication between multiple Credit Default Swap trade capture, affirmation and legal confirmation systems. My strong client-facing skills -- including precise verbal and written communication, and thorough yet succinct documentation -- ensure that multiple buy-side and dealer firms can progress towards complex integration goals with clarity. My in-depth Java and SQL experience provides a deep understanding of back-end and API-level architecture.

EXPERIENCE
2007-PRESENT

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE)
Direct Credit Derivative dealers, derivative clearing managers, buy-side clients and IT vendors in integrating their systems with ICE Link, the leading derivatives affirmation and clearing platform. I have documented, developed, and guided clients through a wide array of ICE Link integrations, including Java API, FpML, CSV, and MQ-based solutions. Most recently, I have served as the lead contact in the ICE Clear/ICE Trust Buyside Clearing Early-Adopter End-to-End testing program, which certifies all major investment banks and several high-volume hedge funds as they prepare to clear CDS with a central ICE counterparty. Also, I have played a key role in the development of ICE Link's support for STP of ICE Final Clearing Instructions.

In this client-facing role, clear communication, organizational and interpersonal skills are blended with the extensive use of Java 1.5 and related technologies. These include FpML, the Spring framework, Maven, Eclipse, SVN, Tomcat, and XML APIs; Oracle, including Oracle SQL Developer; Unix shell scripting; and Excel.

2006-2007

School of Visual Arts, MFA Design Program
Directed the development of the MFA Design podcast series, from the planning phase forward. Configured and customized a Jakarta Velocity templating system to maintain SVA branding while automatically cataloguing video files. Used OS X Server technologies, such as Blojsom, LDAP, and NetBoot, to manage the department’s workstations and web presence.

2005-2007

Resident Creative Studio, Freelance
Configured, installed and maintained a 12-client, Smedge-based render farm which speeds and simplifies Maya and AfterEffects jobs dramatically.

2004-2006

Pratt Institute, Department of Digital Art
Installed and configured an LDAP server to provide boot images and network home directories to Windows and Linux machines; and set up a 75-client, production-quality Qube-based render farm within this environment. Made extensive use of Ghost and shell scripts to manage over 100 Windows clients; routinely troubleshot and fixed hardware problems.

2001-2004

Right Track Recording, Globe Studio
Aligned tape machines and digital converters, setup microphones, recorded tracks, overdubbed, and mixed two-track masters. Made extensive use of Pro-Tools and Logic.

2000-2001

Volume.com
Built a feature-rich community site. JSP was used in the view layer, to present personalized content and maintain sessions. The controller layer was comprised of servlets, which processed user information before passing it to an Oracle-based model layer via JDBC.
